How to use the word counter for Nepali text

Our Word Counter fully supports Devanagari script (नेपाली and हिंदी text). Paste your Nepali text directly — words are counted correctly because Devanagari uses spaces between words just like English.

The Devanagari full stop (।) is recognized as a sentence-ending character, so sentence count works correctly for Nepali text.

Reading time calculator

Reading time is calculated at 200 words per minute for English and 150 words per minute for Nepali/Hindi (the reading speed is slightly slower for Devanagari script). For a 500-word Nepali article, estimated reading time is about 3.5 minutes.
